Kohn-Megibow Company Celebrates Over 20 Years of Business with Mt. Baldy Lodge

At Kohn-Megibow Company, we love having our repeat customers reach out to us for new and/or used restaurant equipment. Because we’ve been in business since 1916, we’ve been able to see companies grow and thrive over time. This is especially true for one of our customers, Mt. Baldy Lodge, as we’ve had the privilege of working with them for about 20 years now.

To celebrate over 20 years of business with Mt. Baldy Lodge, we wanted to highlight the work we’ve done with them in the past and how we continue to assist them with their restaurant equipment needs. Take a look!

About Mt. Baldy Lodge

Mt. Baldy Lodge is a local landmark on the mountain. They have charming cabins for rent, along with a beautiful lodge and restaurant where visitors can relax. They offer access to many mountain activities such as skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, hiking and mountain biking. Overall, it is a beautiful place to visit.

At the center of Mt. Baldy Lodge is their restaurant, and that’s what began the relationship with Kohn-Megibow Company all those years ago. Ron Ellingson, the president of Mt. Baldy Lodge, first heard about us through one of our other customers, who had recommended our services. Once Ron attended one of our auctions himself, he was hooked.

“From the beginning, Kohn-Megibow Company has been fair, honest and always puts in the extra effort to get you whatever equipment you need,” said Ron. “That’s why it’s always so great to work with them.”

Building Customer Loyalty

Over the years, Ron has found a lot of great deals at Kohn-Megibow Company’s used restaurant equipment auctions. He knows that we inspect and clean all the items carefully to make sure the conditions are clear before anyone purchases them. Ron has also purchased quite a bit of new restaurant equipment from KMC. He respects our fair pricing and loves how quickly he receives the equipment he purchased.

Ron has bought and sold many items from Kohn-Megibow Company in the past 20 years to enhance the Mt. Baldy Lodge restaurant, cabins and ski area. On top of buying restaurant equipment from us, he also comes to KMC whenever he needs quality furniture, chairs, tables and restaurant equipment at a reasonable price.

“They’re knowledgeable because they deal with so many brands, so they give me a pretty good idea of what to buy,” Ron said. “They are also really honest people. I usually go through John, who is a really great guy. It is nice to work with someone in that business you can trust.”
